BuildASign.com Sponsorship Intern

The BuildASign.com Sponsorship Internship is an opportunity to play a founding role in transitioning our influential and well-known Sponsorship Program into profitable business unit status. Our Sponsorship Program mission is to raise BuildASign.com brand awareness and to support organizations in the Austin area and across the country with excellent signage for any need. BuildASign.com has been providing sponsorships to various organizations for 3 years now and we are ready to take the program to the next level. Our goal with the transition of the Sponsorship Program is to transition the program which is currently a cost to the business into a profitable business unit. You will learn about how our corporate sponsorship program works, cost/benefit analysis, creating and pitching business cases, and gain valuable cold calling and sales experience. We have a framework for our program and are also looking for great ideas to continue to build it out from a bright, motivated, enthusiastic team member.
Job Responsibilities:
• Contribute ideas for and research potential sponsorees for our Sponsorship Program
• Cold (and warm) call potential sponsorees and gain sponsorships with both paying and non-paying organizations
• Brainstorm and implement ways to make our program more well known in the Austin area and interface with our executive team to discuss these ideas
• Be the point of contact for sponsorship logistics and implementation
o Gather the details of sponsorship requests for the decision making team to be able to decide on what type of sponsorship can be offered.
o Explain BuildASign.com's sponsorship guidelines to potential sponsorships clearly
o Manage spreadsheet of approved and current Sponsorships
o Determine time line and due dates for information and materials
o Gain familiarity with sign materials to help guide and make decisions on sponsoree requests
Job Requirements:
• At least 15-20 hours per week availability- up to 40 hours are available
• 3.5 GPA
• Course focus in business, communications or related field
• Interest in sales, marketing, and willing to do significant amount of cold calling
Compensation:
$10/hour
