New Home Screen
January 20 2010, 5:12pm
You'll probably notice, that the control panel area has received a small face lift. If you don't know, the "Control Panel" area is what we call the screen that you see when you first log in to SnapPages, but from now on we'll be calling this area the "Home Screen". Why? There's not a huge reason, I just think it sounds friendlier. But the most recent updates to this section are not just simply cosmetic. The real reason for the update is that I had to make some changes to the home screen to pave the way for some really cool new features that we'll be adding very shortly. Most of them have to do with the new developer tools that we're getting ready to release. So if you use SnapPages to develop sites for other people, now would be the time to start getting excited. We started out building the developer tools with the goal in mind of making it easier for developers to create sites for their clients and we've ended up going a little overboard (in a good way). Basically we've created an entire client/project management system that is fully integrated with SnapPages and it's all super easy to use. We are very close to releasing this, in fact we already have a few people testing it out already, so keep your eyes peeled for more news!
